Outline of the Business

Diacks Nurseries Ltd is a family owned horticulture business that started growing and selling plants in 1908. This began when founder Colin Diack brought his first packet of cabbage seed and began to supply the local store. 

Colins son Raymond (Aide) Diack still works from the Tweed Street branch today along with 5 of his 6 children and most of his grandchildren. Diacks Nurseries is a fourth generation business today, 100 years on.

We at Diacks are members of NGIA Nursery and Garden Industry Association.

We operate from two locations, 628 Tweed St and 849 North Road situated in Invercargill, New Zealand. At 45^o south we are one of the worlds most southern nurseries. 

We also have a thirteen acre nursery site at Rimu, ten minutes drive from Invercargill, which specialises in growing open ground trees.

We are a wholesale/retail business currently growing for sale a wide range of plants including bedding plants, perennials, revegitation, ornamentals, shelter trees, natives, hedging, grasses, mosses, fruit trees, pond plants etc.

We ensure delivery of our product throughout New Zealand.

Staff

We have a full time staff of up to 30, as well as casuals in the busier parts of the year. The fourth generation of family members have been working in the business partime and now full time for the last 15 years.
